The department of Computer Science and Engineering is actively pursuing interaction with industries for the benefit of the students. The interaction is designed for providing exposure to the students of the work environment in industries and the state of the art tools and techniques employed by the industries. The various activities carried out in this regard are listed below;
The department has signed an MOU with Oracle Corporation for offering the workforce development programme to its students and others.
The department has signed as MOU with Nokia Corporation Finland and the Nokia innovation laboratory is set up in the department. The students and faculty of the department are trained by experts from Nokia in mobile app development. The students of the department have developed many app’s that are uploaded Nokia store.
The department of Computer Science and Engineering has signed an MOU with Infosys under campus connect programme for offering industry backed electives
Computer science and engineering department is actively associated with many industries such as KTWO technologies, Wipro etc.
From many years the department faculty are undergoing training at Infosys, Mysore under campus connect programme.
This training is useful and helps in developing skills to teach students effectively. Also its helps faculty to aware about industry needs and to make students more professionally ready for industry.
Department organizes many seminars which are presented by resource persons from industries.
Department alumni are visiting the department and interact with all students.
Department is creating platform for students to know about industry needs by inviting the alumni and organizing interactive sessions in weekends.

The Department has MoUs as listed below. These MoUs involved the establishing of advanced laboratory facilities at department. These labs are under use by students either for training, or for research projects, or for curriculum development (e.g. in laboratory work and support for theory) etc. Some of the labs (e.g. Oracle, Nokia etc) are currently being used for R&D related work.
