To cater to the co-curricular and extracurricular needs of the students, the department has established student association EEEA (Electrical & Electronics Engineering Association). To develop the skills of students, the EEEA organize project exhibition and technical paper presentation, seminars by experts, industrial visits, and sports activities regularly. EEEA enhances student’s opportunities to achieve, and focus on students thinking and how that could be moved forward in such way that they achieve better engineering carrier.
EEEA has organized following activities in the academic year 2013-14.
On 5th September teacher's day conducted as a mark of Dr. Radhakrishnan's birthday. Students formally presented their gratitude to teachers.
On 23rd September fresher’s day was organized to welcome the juniors to department. The teaching and non-teaching staffs are introduced to new students and expectations from new comers are conveyed to department head.
On 17th November General aptitude test was conducted for the students, which was very useful for the final year students in view of their placement activities.
On 19th September Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme for students was conducted. The issues associated with the ragging and awareness was given to students. The Supreme Court judgment was read and students were informed about the anti ragging committees formed in the college. Further, students expressed the hope that they will not indulge in any activity whatsoever which comes under the definition of ragging. It was also informed that, yet if any such incident occurs due to some reason or another, strictest possible action will be taken under rules. The contact details of anti ragging squad were provided to the students.
Technical seminars were organized on "Innovation technology" by Prof. Sadashiv and Prof. Sanjeev Naik, Asst. Prof. Nitte Meenakshi College of Engineering, B'lore.
EEEA conducted Energy park visit for the students of Balekundri Engineering college and also for the 2nd year students of Electrical &Electronics Engineering, BEC, Bagalkot. Awareness about renewable energy sources was created to students.
The EEE Association organized sports events like Super six games in Cricket, 3G-3B Cricket games, Indoor games for the students and for the staff.
EEEA conducted a college level event titled "DA-ABIYANTHA'S" which consisted of six sub-events held from 26th to 28th March 2014. Students for other departments participated actively in all events.
Sub events are organized as follows: "QUIZ" and "MOVIE MAKING" competition conducted on 26th March, "CIIRCUIT DEBUGGING" & "DRAWING/PAINTING" on 27th, and conducted "MEMORY TAG" and "ROBO RACE" on 28th March. The prizes were distributed on 11th April 2014 to mark the end of 'DA-ABIYANTHA'S'.
The department has conducted other events like 'PICK & SPEECH', 'ANTHYAKSHARI' & 'DEBATE' on 11th April 2014.
