Overview
The Department of Physics serves as the foundation of engineering education. Established in 1963 with the inception of the college, it has well-equipped laboratories where students excel under the guidance of qualified and dedicated staff, and faculty and student development programmes are organised regularly. The department has been a recognised Research Centre of VTU, Belagavi since 2013, with research focused on material science and magnetoelectric composites. At present six faculty and four supporting staff work in the department, actively engaged in teaching undergraduate students and pursuing research.
