Overview

The Department of Industrial & Production Engineering was established in 1984 with an initial intake of 30 students. It prepares leaders capable of managing manufacturing and service-industry operations across the two domains of Industrial Engineering and Production Engineering. Students gain exposure to modern manufacturing technologies including CAD/CAM, CAE, FMS, CIM and additive manufacturing, alongside management concepts taught through practical case studies, supported by fully doctorate-qualified faculty, well-equipped laboratories and experienced technical staff. The department has been a recognised research centre since 2008, with 13 candidates awarded Ph.D. to date.
