Department of Training and Placement has the sole responsibility of training the students from
the time they get admission to the college for the first year to the final year. The training programs
are conducted every year for both odd and even semesters.
The Training and Placement Department organizes a number of training programs for the
students of all semesters with the help of in-house experts and experts drawn from professional
agencies. The activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping the career of students. The
staff members of the placement Department work together as a team in moulding the students to
the requirements of various industries. Several career guidance programs, reasoning tests,
aptitude tests, puzzle-solving, group discussions, mock interviews, brainstorming sessions, casediscussion, pick and speak,
sharing the experiences and communication skills, etc., are organized
on regular basis. To motivate and develop the personality of students, several HRD training
programs are conducted regularly. These activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping
the career of students.
A systematic approach is in place to groom the students to their fullest potential. Various training
programs conducted are:
I Semester/II Semester:
Induction Programmes for 15 days as per the university guidelines is conducted for all the
students. Apart from the routine activities as per the guidelines of the University, three days
program called "BUILDING SELF ESTEEM", which help in esteem-building of students. The
program focuses on oral and written communication skills, public speaking, group discussion,
Resume writing, comprehension using effective criticism, application writing, and team building
through various exercises and role-play games.
III Semester/IV Semester:
In the third semester, the students enter into a specific branch of engineering, where the
department through their department associations build the employable traits of the students by
conducting various training programs. Department of Training and placement also helps the
departments in building the traits of students through workshops, training programs, seminars,
Industrial guest talks etc.
The students will be offered a mandatory course of one credit titled "Fundamentals of Quantitative
Aptitude and Soft Skills" at the IV semester level and this course is the beginning of the set of
courses and training programs to make students ready for placement activities.
V Semester/VI Semester:
The students will be offered a one-credit course titled "Advanced Quantitative Aptitude and Soft
Skills" at the V semester level to build on the concepts groomed from the IV semester. These
subjects will make students ready to crack logical, quantitative, and other problems. To augment
different skills in the students the college offers a course titled "Career Planning and Professional
Skills" in the sixth semester. These three subjects will make the students be ready to crack any
campus interview.
VII Semester/VIII Semester:
At the beginning of the VII seventh semester, the students are given special 10 days, 60 hours of
training to crack any company campus placement drive. Various other training programs are also
conducted to students to help them in their career building.
