Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Student Chapter
The BIS Student Chapter at Basaveshwar Engineering College serves as a platform for students to understand the significance of Indian Standards (IS Codes) in engineering design, manufacturing, construction, testing, and industrial practices. Through academic and co-curricular activities, students gain exposure to national standards, quality management practices, and the role of BIS in promoting excellence and sustainable development. The chapter actively encourages students to adopt standardized engineering practices, participate in BIS initiatives, and develop a quality-conscious approach towards professional engineering.
